In Australia, that mythical, wide, brown land below the equator, there are around 29 million mobile phones for a population of around 23 million people. Most of these phones have internet access and can be used to read your Kindle book.

Men comprise 51% of ebook buyers.

Women comprise the rest.

47% of people read their e-books on their own personal computer.
The great majority of these readers are reading for entertainment and self-improvement and in fact one of the most popular fiction categories is romance fiction.
